We take pride in the time and specialized care we provide each patient. Insurance plans often severely limit the time a clinician can spend with a patient and sometimes the type of care; therefore, Sapphire Women's Healthcare does not participate with in-network plans.
We are a cash-pay, fee for service company, and are not contracted with any medical insurance companies and are therefore considered "out-of-network." However, you can utilize your HSA or FSA account. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards, and we do require you to have a card on file.
We do not bill insurance, however as a courtesy, we will provide a “superbill” for you to file with your insurance company. The amount of reimbursement will depend on your specific insurance plan and deductible. We do not guarantee reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance plan to determine if you will be reimbursed for any of your services.
We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare. You may NOT file a claim with any of these government health plans as Laura Brown, WHNP-BC has opted out of these plans.
-
Due to the specialty nature of our clinic we do not provide primary care or general gynecology services. We recommend you are established with these types of providers for preventative healthcare services outside of Sapphire Women's Healthcare.
-
Yes! This is one of the main focuses of our practice. This may include estrogen, progesterone, and/or testosterone. We do NOT insert or prescribe pellets. Working together we will determine what is a safe, effective treatment for you based on your particular concerns and medical history.

What our patients are saying…
“Laura Brown is the most compassionate and attentive healthcare provider that has ever cared for me. She truly takes the time to listen and takes a holistic approach to personalized care plans. She is warm, welcoming, and kind, instantly putting any patient at ease. She’s a hidden gem in today’s complex healthcare system and I truly can’t find the words to express how grateful I am for her.”

“I met with Laura Brown to help me with my post menopausal issues. After being a BC survivor since 2020 and having my ovary removed back in 2023, I have been searching for someone to listen to me and give me the option of using HRT. Let me say I found that person. We had a great hour-long meeting to review my medical history and she is going to consult with my oncologist to let them know about me moving ahead with HRT. I am beyond excited that she listened and could relate to my quality of life issues. Every day is a real struggle for 5 months now! Please spread the word about this new practice north of Boston.”

“Laura Brown of Sapphire Women’s Healthcare was truly a Godsend. After doing my research on HRT and deciding that it was the right option for me at 58 years of age I was done suffering with all the crazy Menopause symptoms that I didn’t even know where because of menopause, I started to search for a Menopause provider and it was no easy task. After going to the Menopause Society website I found Sapphire Women’s Healthcare and to my surprise immediately received a call back from Laura and after having a short conversation I knew I had found my Menopause provider. A week later I was in her new office meeting her and being heard with compassion and understanding. Laura explained my options and tailored my HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) journey specifically for me and I have to say that after being on my HRT I haven’t felt so Amazing in such a long time. All of my joint pain has disappeared and I’m sleeping like a baby all night. All of my symptoms have disappeared. I’m very grateful that I found Laura at Sapphire Women’s Healthcare and I would say to you that you don’t have to suffer anymore with your Menopause symptoms because you have options and knowledge is power. Thank you Laura!! ❤️”

“Working with Laura has been amazing on so many levels. As a 30-year-old who’s generally
healthy, it’s been hard to find a provider willing to not only test my hormone levels but also treat
the imbalances without pushing birth control as the only option.
Laura took a different approach and started me on testosterone, and the positive changes have
been incredible. After just a couple of months, I’ve noticed a big difference. My sleep quality has
improved—I’m waking up feeling rested and refreshed. As someone who’s dealt with painful
and heavy periods, I was amazed to see that both the pain and flow have significantly lessened.
After being postpartum and done breastfeeding, my hormones were all over the place, and I had
been struggling with mental fog for years. Since starting testosterone, my mental clarity has
improved more than it ever did with any other treatment. I feel sharper, more focused, and much
more like myself. My mood has also become much more balanced, goodbye postpartum rage.
Overall, this experience has truly been life-changing!”

Meet Laura Brown
Laura Brown (she/her) is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), and holds a certification as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) from The Menopause Society, one of only 1,300 in the country. She is also a Certified Coach by Koach Training, offering a unique set of skills many other clinicians do not possess. She has a genuine passion for women’s health, educating women about their bodies, and empowering them to make excellent decisions for their wellness. Laura began her NP career in Internal Medicine which gave her a broad spectrum of experience, and most recently worked in OBGYN which allowed her to focus on women’s health across the lifespan. Throughout her career she saw up-close the insufficiency of care, knowledge and information available to patients in midlife as they approached the menopause transition, and how their health and quality of life suffered as a result. Because of this, she has developed a deep and abiding passion for educating and empowering women in this particular phase of life!
Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, both in nursing, at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. She is a member in good standing of The Menopause Society, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and she is a Certified Coach through Koach Training.
When Laura steps away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children. She loves being outside, whether gardening, hiking or reading a good book on the back porch. Laura has found that barre and hip hop classes are the secret to keeping her sanity, as well as quality time laughing with friends. She loves to cook and bake, and especially sharing these (messy) hobbies with her kiddos! She is an active member of the Chelmsford Mothers’ Club, active in her church’s Outreach Committee, a board member of the non-profit Junie’s Place which offers no-cost bereavement services to families in Massachusetts who are navigating the loss of a pregnancy or child, and she is an avid consumer of podcasts (usually related to menopause or sexual health, but occasionally some true crime!) Laura is also a third-generation female entrepreneur and is excited to continue this family tradition!
